Fisheries Company by Norito Shinmura (新村則人)

A poster crafted for the fishing company and family that Norito Shinmura is a part of. A brilliant piece of photography that features a blurred reflection of fish, with the text in water droplets depicting "Shin Mura Fisheries”.

Born in 1960, Shinmura is an incredibly successful designer who has worked with Muji, McDonald's Japan, Shiseido, Tokyo Olympics, and other notable clients and won multiple presigitious awards for graphic design.

He is the creator of Shinmura Design Office, which now operates under the name “garden inc”, and a member of The Japan Graphic Designers Association. He has also worked in a variety of differing mediums, including but not limited to photography, typography, screenprinting, prestigious, and much more. However, his primary preference of imagemaking in contemporary times seems to be photography edited with state-of-the-art visual manipulation software.

In tandem to all of these modes of visual communication, he is also versatile in a variety of materials such as book covers, posters, packaging, products, and logomarks.
